Hey there! I’m P.J. Elias, currently living in Tilburg, Netherlands. My journey into genealogy began in 2014 when I dived into the history of my 2nd great grandparents, John Elias and Anna Bohaczek. They were Czech-Romanian orphans, and for generations, my family sought to find their origins and parentage. I was determined to solve this puzzle, after months of work I successfully traced their roots, igniting my curiosity about my other grandparents’ families—Condon, Lis, and Iagovino. This exploration revealed my rich heritage encompassing Czech, Polish, Irish, Italian, Norwegian, and German ancestry, as well as a diverse religous heritage with Catholic, Calvinist, and Lutheran ancestors. My expertise is primarily self-acquired, while I aspire to pursue certifications and potentially a master’s degree in Genealogy in the future, I am presently focused on completing my degree at Tilburg University. Alongside my studies, I’ve had the opportunity to present at various conferences, writing articles, make podcasts and videos adding to my experience in the field.
